#### 1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the VoiceHotKey application or website, you agree to be bound by this End-User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using the VoiceHotKey application and website. This EULA is a legal agreement between you and EMOJI - FZCO developer of VoiceHotKey application, governing your use of the software and services provided by EMOJI - FZCO. The materials and services on this website and application are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

#### 2. License Grant
VoiceHotKey grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the VoiceHotKey software and services for personal or internal business purposes. You may not modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the software, except as expressly permitted by VoiceHotKey.

Each account is for use by one person. You may use it on any number of your own devices, but you may not share your account with other people: each person needs their own license.

#### 3. No Refund Policy
By using VoiceHotKey, you acknowledge and agree to the following No Refund Policy. VoiceHotKey offers a one-month free trial period during which users can evaluate the service. After this trial period, all payments made for subscriptions or any purchases related to VoiceHotKey are non-refundable, regardless of usage or satisfaction with the service. This policy is strictly enforced, and no exceptions will be made. Please ensure the service meets your needs during the free trial before committing to a paid plan.

#### 4. Unsubscription
Users can cancel their subscriptions at any time by following instructions at page https://voicehotkey.com/unsubscribe/
Upon successful cancellation, your subscription will be terminated at the end of the current billing cycle, and no further charges will be made.
Please note that subscription cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period, and no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the service.

#### 5. Use of the Service
VoiceHotKey allows you to convert voice to text by pressing a designated hotkey. The voice data is securely transmitted to our transcription servers for processing. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Unauthorized or abusive use of the service, including but not limited to automated requests or any use that disrupts the normal operation of the service, may result in termination of your access.

# Install & use VoiceHotKey on iPhone

VoiceHotKey on iPhone lets you type with your voice in any app. Press the mic, speak & the transcribed text drops into any app you're writing into — WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Mail, Notes, Safari, anywhere a keyboard appears.

The first-time setup takes about two minutes: install, sign in by email, then turn on the keyboard in iOS Settings.

## 1. Install from the App Store

Open [voicehotkey.com](https://voicehotkey.com/) in Safari on your iPhone & tap **Download for iPhone**. The link goes straight to the right App Store listing.

The App Store opens directly on **VoiceHotKey: Never Type Again**. Tap the cloud-download icon (or **Get**, if you've never installed it on this Apple ID) to start the install.

When the download finishes, the **Get** button turns into **Open** — tap it to launch VoiceHotKey for the first time.

## 2. Sign in with your email

Open VoiceHotKey. On the first screen, type your email address & tap **Send Email Code**.

A 6-digit code arrives in your inbox within a few seconds. The email also contains an automatic sign-in link — tapping it on the same phone fills in the code for you. Enter the code & tap **Log in**.

## 3. Enable the keyboard in iOS Settings

iOS won't let any app act as a keyboard until you explicitly turn it on. Open **Settings → VoiceHotKey** & you'll see the access screen below. Tap **Keyboards**, then enable **VoiceHotKey** & turn on **Allow Full Access**.

When you flip *Allow Full Access*, iOS shows a strongly-worded warning. Don't worry — it's the same dialog every third-party keyboard triggers. **Full Access is required so VoiceHotKey can send the transcribed text into the field you're typing in & reach our speech-to-text service. The app does not read or store anything you type with the system keyboard.** Tap **Allow** to continue.

Back in the VoiceHotKey app, scroll down to the status block. The three checks must all be green before the keyboard works:

- **VoiceHotKey Keyboard Enabled** — turned on under Settings → VoiceHotKey → Keyboards.
- **Full Access Granted** — toggled on the same screen.
- **Microphone Access Granted** — tap the red microphone row & approve the permission prompt (next step).

If anything stays red, follow the **Actions required** list at the bottom of that screen. Tapping **Open Keyboard Settings** at the top of the app jumps straight to the right iOS page.

## 4. Allow microphone access

Tap the red **Microphone Access Granted** row. iOS shows a one-time permission dialog — tap **Allow**. (If you accidentally tap *Don't Allow*, you can re-enable mic access later in Settings → VoiceHotKey → Microphone.)

After you allow it, all three rows turn green & the *Actions required* notice disappears. The keyboard is ready to use.

## 5. Pick your dictation languages

Before you dictate for the first time, open the VoiceHotKey app & enable the languages you actually speak. The default is English only — if you speak another language without enabling it, the transcription will come out in English instead of the language you spoke.

Scroll to the options block & tap **Choose Voice to Text Languages**. Toggle every language you want recognised. Multiple languages can be active at once & VoiceHotKey will detect which one you're speaking on each recording.

The same options block also lets you tweak:

- **Choose Keyboard Languages** — which typing languages the VoiceHotKey keyboard supports.
- **Choose AI Translate Languages** — target languages for the built-in translate action on the keyboard's suggestion bar.

## 6. Switch to the VoiceHotKey keyboard

Open any app where you'd normally type and bring up the system keyboard. In the bottom-left corner you'll see the **🌐 globe** icon: tap it once to cycle to the next keyboard, or hold it to pick **VoiceHotKey** from the list.

## 7. Tap the mic to dictate

Once the VoiceHotKey keyboard is on screen, look for the microphone button in the top-right corner of the suggestion strip, just above the letters. That's the dictation trigger — tap it once to start recording.

iOS opens VoiceHotKey full-screen with the **Speak now** prompt:

Speak naturally. When you're done, swipe right on the home indicator to return to the previous app — transcription stops automatically & the text appears in the field you were typing in.

By default the recording stops on its own when you switch back. To stop manually instead, turn on **Manually stop recording** in the VoiceHotKey settings.

## 8. Other settings

Each lives in its own dedicated menu in the VoiceHotKey app:

- **Change record duration** — how long a single recording can run before auto-stopping.
- **Hide titles for AI actions** — compact mode for the AI buttons above the keyboard.

## 9. Troubleshooting

- **The keyboard works but the mic does nothing.** Microphone Access is off. Open the VoiceHotKey app & make sure all three status rows are green.
- **Mic button is greyed out / no Speak now overlay.** Full Access is off. Settings → VoiceHotKey → Keyboards → VoiceHotKey → toggle **Allow Full Access** on.
- **Transcription is in the wrong language.** Open **Choose Voice to Text Languages** & enable the language you want (or disable the ones you don't).
- **Subscription or login problems.** Tap **Refresh Data** at the top of the VoiceHotKey app. If it still misbehaves, tap **Report problem**.

## Installation

Open a terminal & paste:

The installer downloads VoiceHotKey & sets it up on your system.

## Launch

After installation, start VoiceKey from your applications menu, or run `voicekey` from a terminal.

## Introduction
VoiceHotKey is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Statement outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information we receive through our website https://voicehotkey.com and our dictation application VoiceHotKey.

## Data Collected by the Application

### Voice Recordings
When you press your recording shortcut, VoiceHotKey records audio from your microphone. The audio file is transmitted over an encrypted connection to VoiceHotKey servers for speech-to-text transcription using AI-based speech recognition. Recordings are stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from the History menu in the app.

### Device Identifier
The app generates an anonymous device identifier (a random UUID stored in your Keychain on Mac App Store builds, or a hashed hardware identifier on direct-download builds). This identifier is used to associate your device with your account and license. It does not contain personally identifiable information.

### System Information
Each transcription request includes your app version, macOS version, and your selected transcription language(s). This information is used to process your request correctly and for diagnostic purposes.

### Account Information
If you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication and license management.

## How We Use Your Data
- **Voice recordings** are transmitted to VoiceHotKey servers solely for the purpose of AI-powered speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed and not retained on our servers after transcription is complete.
- **Device identifiers** are used to link your device to your license and subscription.
- **System information** (app version, OS version, language preferences) is used to process transcription requests and diagnose technical issues.
- **Account information** is used for authentication, license management, and customer support.

## Who Receives Your Data
Your voice recordings and associated request data are sent to **VoiceHotKey servers**, operated by VoiceHotKey. These servers use AI-based speech recognition services to perform transcription. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or voice recordings with unrelated third parties.

## Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to track ad conversions; their cookies come from Google and Meta. We also set one cookie of our own, `vhk_click`, kept for 30 days. It holds a random visit identifier, the time of the visit, the name of the site you arrived on and the advertising tags from the link that brought you here (utm parameters and the fbclid and gclid click identifiers). We keep the same data on our servers together with your IP address, your browser type and the identifiers from the Meta Pixel cookies, and we add the visit identifier to our download links. We use this to learn which advertisement led to an installation of our software. No other cookies are employed. If you prefer, you can disable cookies through your browser settings; it won't affect your experience at all, because our website doesn't rely on cookies.

Our desktop and mobile software VoiceHotKey doesn't use cookies.

## Information Collection and Use
### Personal Information
We collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us, when asking a question through form in this web-site or registering in application. This may include your name, email address, and any other contact details you provide when creating an account, subscribing to our newsletter, or requesting support.

### Non-Personal Information

## Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Voice recordings are transmitted to VoiceHotKey servers for transcription processing only. Any service providers involved in processing your data are required to protect your data to the same standard described in this policy.

## Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. However, no internet transmission is ever completely secure or error-free. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

## Your Rights and Control
- You can delete your local recordings at any time from the History menu in the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app.
- No voice data is sent until you actively press your recording shortcut. The app does not record in the background.
